Hot Summer - Cool Kids

It's very warm and humid in Kashima City today, much like Hawaii - K says "hot". Just a matter of what one is used to. Me? I'm enjoying the breeze from an electric fan.

But my granddaughters on Maui are the coolest...

Bailey does a hula with newly found 'ili'ili stones.

Chloe dons some shades and enjoys a little cruise in the ocean.

Way cool, girls.

They are little cutie pies. It is great to see them having fun. I'm not a grandfather yet, but my great nephews are growing up...one is almost as tall as me already! Stay cool...I am definitely in the K camp when it comes to heat.

If it's hot in Tokyo, it's a cauldron here. hehe...

Aww, your granddaughters are so cute, and pretty. Thanks for sharing the pictures, PandaB.

Don - thanks. my body is adjusting to the change in climate from Hawaii, but it takes a long time. I'd rather be hot than cold though.

HappySurfer - you're only 3 degrees north of the equator, so bound to get hot. I have friends and family in Arizona however, and the temperatures there in summer are routinely over 40C!

Yeah, at least we have the rain here. Does it rain in Arizona? My geography is bad.

Happy - Arizona is mostly desert. The annual rainfall is just a little over 7 inches, as compared to Kuala Lumpur which gets about 94 inches!

When it does rain in AZ, it washes down from the mountains quickly and creates very dangerous "flash floods" because there is not much vegetation to hold the water.

Stay cool. :^)
