Momo - All Dog

While hanging something on the laundry pole this morning (we have a solar clothes drier), K said good morning to Momo, and while looking down at her, saw a mole.

"Oh, you mean that cute little Momo the Wonder Dog has a mole like the famous beauty mark on actress Anne Francis' face?", you may ask.

No, I mean this kind of mole:

Only this one was dead and laying neatly in the center of Momo's outdoor blanket, as if one of her toys.

Lovely. Yup, she's all dog.

Lovely! I guess Momo has finally earned her keep. ;-)

Word verification - klobp - The sound Momo's jaws made as they clamped around the neck of that poor, unfortunate mole.

I hate moles, our cat finally took care of some that were marauding our garden a couple years ago.

Haven't had any since! Good dog Momo! You're Top Dog in my book!

Thanks Moody and Ladybug. I didn't get to keep it. PandaB said it might make me sick so he took it away.

wow, Momo - I hope that you kept out of the way of those sharp little nails on the mole's feet!

Who would've thought that a lady such as yourself would have the killer instinct? :-)

NZM - I'm not entirely sure that Momo actually killed the mole. Maybe just found it. But lacking proof, she gets credit and can paint a mole on the side of her dog house.

moody, wouldn't that sound come from the breaking of the mole's neck? Wait, that's snap!

Momo, I wouldn't let my dog keep it as well. After all, it's not a 'dog eat mole' world we live in.

Agus - It probably would have made me sick. Nature vs nurture is a still a hot debate. Sometimes the nurtured part becomes nature. We dogs try to please, but in the end we are dogs and obey the "call of the wild".

Hey, MoMo:

I found mole in Net dictionary, it explained as "鼴鼠 or 錢鼠" in Chinese. Sounds like one kind of mouse, actually it's appearance looked like a BIG mouse, and the size bigger than u. ;)

Hi PP-

Not that big! Moles are usually 12 to 20 cm long. This one was in between size. Bigger than a mouse, smaller than a big rat. They aren't a rodent though. They eat worms and insect larvae mostly. Humans don't like them because they tunnel around and make a mess of lawns and gardens.

They usually live alone, so we probably won't have any more tunnels around here. :=P
