Our Life on Pacific Islands
hehe.. start planning that Fiji trip. I like that!I like the bookcover. So surreal, so peaceful, so blue. Thanks for the link, PandaB.
How funny Happy Surfer. I was on your blog while you were leaving this comment!
That book picture floats my boat! Fiji goes on our ever growing list of potential travel destinations.
I've always like the Lonely Planet guides myself (we have several, including one on Iceland); but I'm definitely going to check this one out!
Snabby - the colors in that are really stunning aren't they? Ladybug - I like Loney Planet guides too in general, but I think David Stanley is the best writer for the South Pacific, and of course this book - which will be available in August I forgot to mention - will have the latest info. Frankly, when I know I'm going to somewhere new I buy three or so books about it. May seem excessive, but when I'm spending money on a big trip, it pays to plan.I have so many destinations, so little fare. sigh
Sounds like a useful book. He is respectful, up to date and well informed. For language - I like the Paul Geraghty mini-sized book on the Fijian language - which is by Lonely Planet - who I of course recommend as LP came outa Melbourne!w.PS And that blue is for real!
Wendy - That's the Fijian phrase book I've kept. I didn't know that about LP - interesting. BLUE BLUE BLUE
