Home Grown Ume

One more ume picture.... These blossoms are on one of four ume trees in our yard. Two of trees have white flowers, one has double layered pink, and the other is a "weeping" tree with pink blossoms.

Our cherry blossoms are just starting out. I should collect an array of photos when they really burst into springtime.

I searched high and low in our areas and all I can find is daffodils... I think I would have to go as far as St. Jame's park to find some cherry blossoms!

Nice flower...

Don - do share them.

YD - daffodils are pretty. the cherry trees here will be blooming next month, so it's one treat after another.

They are absolutely perfect. Isn't Mother Nature clever? The stamens are beautiful within the petals.

Just posted our spring flowers in Berlin here.

Momo: I like the images that you've added to the side of the blog!

With those "dots" on the leaves, it looks similar to some orchids I've seen. Simply lovely!

\^o^/ I got drunk in the romantic flowers.

I read a travel magazine on today which introduced JP tour on late March and April. Promote the peak sightseeing season to see plum blossom and Cherry blossom, very attractive and beautiful.

Moody - eat your heart out.

NZM - as usual your pictures are perfection. Nature always does things well - it has had much more practice.

Hill - those "dots" are actually the tips of the stamens. They do appear to be on the petals though.

PP - coming from Hawaii where tropical flowers abound year round, I've learned to appreciate these annual blossoms. Really a treat after winter.
